- Instructions for Shipping Your Automobile Parts
to Three Rivers Gold -
1. Check the
condition of the automotive parts you want gold plated Visually check the
items you want plated to make sure that they are in good condition. Please
do not send damaged, severely rusted, badly dented, deeply scratched or
broken auto parts. These will not plate properly.
Your local
dealership can supply you with new chrome parts for the year and model of
your car. We can usually do an amazing restorations of older parts, but
some parts are just to far gone. We will return any parts that we feel are
not plateable. Call us for details if you have any questions.
2. Include a note with the following information Include a note with a
brief description of your item and any special instructions you may have
along with your full name, "ship-to" address, city, state, zip and a
telephone number or e-mail address where you can be reached.
After we receive
your package for plating and assess the final gold plating cost, we will
contact you for a final approval before starting the work. If you like,
you may print out our "online packing list", fill in all the necessary
information and include it with your order.
3. Packaging and Shipping your parts Make sure the item is packaged
properly! If boxes or packages are not secured, the items may fall out or
be damaged in transit. We suggest wrapping the parts individually in
newspaper and placing them in the center of the box using "crumpled-up
newspaper" or "Styrofoam peanuts" to cushion your automobile or truck
parts for the journey through the mail to our factory.
After preparing
your package, shake it gently to make sure that you cannot hear the items
"rattling around" loosely inside the container. If you are uncertain about
preparing the package yourself, we suggest that you contact a retail
shipper like Mail Boxes Etc. or PostNet to prepare and ship your box to
us.
4. Seal the box
with tape Seal the outside of the box securely with tape. Use a good
quality strapping or sealing box tape.
5. We suggest that
you insure your item for it's present value. We do not take
responsibility for damages incurred through shipping.
6. Methods of
shipping We suggest using the U.S. Postal Service for small items or
U.P.S./ Federal Express or any other reputable shipping company for your
larger items like wheels, grilles and large trim parts. We have daily UPS
online service to and from our facility.
7. Payment Terms:
There are a few basic methods of payment for our plating services. First,
you can call or e mail us to get an estimate on the plating costs and
include a check or money order along with your work. Second, we can send
your order back UPS C.O.D. and you can pay the driver upon delivery.
Or third, you can
send us the part you want gold plated and we can call you with an exact
amount and arrange for the payment by credit card over the telephone
before the parts leave our plant.
Upon your
acceptance, we will gold plate your item(s) and bill you through your
choice of many different payment options below. Forth, we can set up 30
day payment terms for any business or industry with a qualifying Dunn and
Bradstreet rating.
